Child actor Taurni Sachdev, who starred in various television commercials including Rasna Colgate, LG, Coffee Bite, etc. and had won heart of many people with her role in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Paa’- passed away at a very tender age of 14 years. Sachdev died in the Agni Air Flight CHT plane crash in Nepal, on 14 May 2012, unfortunately on her 14th birthday. As per her friends, before Taruni left for Nepal trip, she hugged all her friends and light-heartedly said "I'm meeting you guys for the last time" without knowing what destiny has planned for her. Sad, isn’t it?
Divya Bharti was the superstar who began her career in Indian cinema from South Indian movies, and took B-town by storm with her commendable performances in 'Shola Aur Shabnam', 'Deewana' and 'Balwan'. Nevertheless, when her career was on the verge of taking full swing, she died under mysterious circumstances at the age of 19 years. She had fallen off the balcony of her five-story high apartment in Versova. Till date no one knows the real cause behind her falling, whether it was a murder, suicide or an accident.
Another name that recently been added to this list is of popular television actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who shot to fame for her role of Anandi in the daily soap 'Balika Vadhu', was found hanged on the ceiling fan of her house in Goregaon, Mumbai on 1st April, 2016. The 24 year old actress was suspected to commit suicide. As per the sources, she was disturbed because of her troubled relationship with beau Rahul Raj Singh and ended up her life.
Jiah Khan, British American actress, heartbreakingly committed suicide at very young age 25 on 3rd June 2013. In 2007, she made her debut in the controversial film 'Nishabd' co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. She also starred opposite to Aamir Khan in 2008's box-office hit movie 'Ghajini'. Sadly, Jiah made her last screen appearance in hit comedy 'Housefull', in the year 2010. The actress was in a live-in relationship with Sooraj Pancholi and was depressed because of troubled relationship. A six-page suicide note was discovered after her death that indicated the real cause behind unexpected decision of taking her own life by the actress.
Former renowned MTV VJ and model Nafisa Joseph hanged herself in her flat on 29th July 2004. As per the reports, it was revealed that she took that big step after her marriage to businessman Gautam Khanduja was called off. She discovered that Khanduja was already married and told her tall tale about the fact that he divorced his wife two years back. She was hardly 26 year old when she ended her life this way. Joseph won the Miss India Universe in 1997, and was a semi-finalist in the Miss Universe 1997 pageant that was held in Miami.
Kuljeet Randhawa was the model-turned actress. The former Gladrags model was best remembered for her role in 'Kohinoor', mystery-thriller Indian television soap. Randhawa was also popularly known for her role in ‘CATS’, Indian version of 'Charlie's Angels'. She had a promising career ahead, but unfortunately she committed suicide by hanging herself in her flat in Juhu on 8th Feb 2006. The film fraternity was completely under shock as the actress ended up her life this way just after one-and-a-half year Nafisa Joseph’s death, one of her close friend. She was just 30 year old when she passed away.
Even though she was known for her striking role in art films, Patil proved to be equally talented in commercial cinema. Her career span was barely a decade old when she breathed her last breath at the age of 31 years because she couldn’t endure the birth complications. It was later told that she succumbed due to complete organ failure and chronic diabetes.
